I made this last night and thought you gals might like it. It is very easy to make, and is very mild not spicy. (I can't eat spicy food, so I thought maybe some of your younger children might like it.)

Chili
Prep time 10 min.
Cooking time 40 min
1 - 1 1/4 pound ground beef
1 small onion chopped
1/2 green pepper chopped (optional)
1 clove garlic minced (optional)
1 15 ounce can kidney beans
1 10 3/4 ounce can condensed tomato soup
1/2 teaspoon ground chili powder
salt & pepper to taste
water
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet. Drain off fat if there is too much, but leave a little. Add the onion, green pepper, garlic, salt & pepper, and chili powder. Cook till the onion is soft, about 5 min. Add kidney beans, including juice, and can of tomato soup.
Add 1 - 1 1/2 cans of water (use the tomato soup can) and simmer for 30 minutes.
Serves 4

I have made this without the green pepper and garlic and it is still good. Chili powder is to your taste (or your childrens).
Serve with a green salad and warm crusty bread.
Chili is one of those things that taste better the second day. So for a really easy supper, make it the night before.
