Easy potatoes!!


Recipe Description
Quenches the urge to eat greasy french fries!!​
Preparation Steps:
1. Wash potato and towel dry.
2. Spray microwavable plate with Pam.​
Level of Difficulty:
Easy​
Time Needed:
8 minutes​
Ingredients:
Potato
Salt or any other seasoning​
Serves:
1 serving​
Directions:
1. Cut the potato into thin strips across the short end of the potato.
2. Put potato slices on the plate wihtout overlapping.
3. Sprinkle potato slices with whatever seasoning you want.
4. Microwave on high about 5 minutes until the potatoes are brown and crispy.
Enjoy!!​

I think I read about doing potatoes this way - someplace a long time ago!! Made them for DH when he got home - a good munchie!!

I'll have to try these! If I were to be totally honest, half the reason I eat french fries is for the grease - the greasier the better! (Yeah, I know, very bad...that's why I don't have them very often.)

These sound FANTASTIC!!
I'm thinking about trying these for a quick snack in just a bit...sounds like my kinda snack...quick...salty...and potato....:applause:

It just occurred to me that if you added some vinegar this might taste kind of like the salt and vinegar potato chips -- I love those!!

Will do! Do you peel the potatoes first or leave the skin on? I bet this recipe would work great for sweet potatoes too!

I would definitely think it would work with Sweet Potatoes. They seem to nuke great too.

Not a sweet potato lover since they all seem to be bathed in something sweet - but done this way sounds like a great idea!!

Have you ever made sweet potato fries? I make them sometime and they are to die for. Just a little oil and spices and I bake them in the oven. I noticed some of our stores are carrying them now.

Sounds good too - don't even know if our stores carry sweet potatoes year round - shall check!!

DD and I fixed some of these last night...they really are quite good!
This recipe goes in my "keeper" file...Thanks for posting it!!:wave:

These are so good and easy, my DD keeps asking for them or making them herself...almost every night. They -are- yummy!

The hard thing for me is not to eat them before they have all finished cooking!
