I was officially retired at midnight, so this morning I cleared two garbage bags of uniforms, shoes and the like out of my closet. Then I spent a couple of hours making-over a pair of old uniform shoes into Bohemian fabulousness (As much as those things cost, heck if I'm just going to toss 'em if they're salvageable!!!) For my third thing, I'm going to go through all those DVDs and boxes downstairs and get everything matched-up/put away/culled.

Happy February and Year of the Horse!

Haven't posted the last day or two, but I'm back to doing this. It really helps me to be accountable.

For Sunday:

1) Put away clean laundry
2) Clean out litter boxes
3) Look at calendar for the coming week and decide what has to be done and when

Pinetree-thanks! It's wonderful to finally be official. I was at work on 12 September 2001 when they were deciding who to call back from terminal leave, so I really NEEDED that actual date to pass before I could really believe it was going to happen. :)

Well, I did finally get the movies sorted and even the video games, too! (Allow me to call attention to the irony that I don't PLAY video games...) I have a dozen or so movies-without-boxes and threw away about 2 dozen boxes-without-discs... so I'll be needing to get one of those "photo boxes" they sell at the craft stores and then I'll put the remaining discs in there in alphabetical order.

So far today I have:
- dispatched one of my hens... she took to crowing, so I had to sacrifice her so that I can keep the other three... I had planned it for this morning after the kids went off to school... but the critter decided 2AM was a great time for singing... on the upside, that gave me an excuse to just dispose of the carcass, rather than clean and cook it... I mean, no WAY was I processing a chicken at 2AM... and I'm actually pretty glad about that.

-Took DD6 to buy new shoes... because all of her old shoes have either been outgrown or lost, and none of the hand-me-downs that we could find would fit....

- Dropped DD6 at school along with DD10's trumpet that she forgot this morning.

Still to-do:

- clean and organize the playroom
-return library books and get new ones
- trash (and corpse) to the curb tonight

... and... the school just called, so now I am off to pick up DD6, who's claiming a tummyache...

Happy Monday, everybody!
