I have noticed that people get really pissed at my coupon usage as of late. I had one little old lately swear she actually said JC and walked off to go look at something else at Walgreens. I walked up to the register and ya I had three transactions. They were simple ones though and didn't take long the line was empty when I went up there. She was behind the guy behind me. She came back and said is that the same lady. I turned and looked it was a little old lady with bright red lipstick and a walker. When she got up to the register she was insisting she get the full amount off of her coupons. I just laughed. What else do you do. I would have checked out at the Beauty Counter but one one was around.

Walmart to I had just about five coupons last night and the lady behind me acted like it was the end of the world because I was using coupons. I haven't added it up this week but with price matching, coupons and sales I think I saved over $50. Nothing to sneeze at. I get it my DH used to get mad at me when I used coupons he now asks if there are coupons for things he likes.

The way I see it, the companies put the coupons out there to promote their products & the stores agree to accept them. If we weren't supposed to use them, the option wouldn't be there. There have been a couple times when I had a large number of coupons that I told the person behind me " I just want to let you know ahead of time that I have a lot of coupons" . One time the person didn't mind. Another time the person said thanks & moved to a different line.
Keep on couponing! Keep the savings coming!

Shopping lines are an interesting place to watch people, myself included. I sometimes start to get frustrated when people have trouble paying, or pull out a bunch of coupons, until I realize that it's going to take all of an extra couple of minutes for it to get worked out. It can seem like an eternity, but it really isn't.

I rarely have more than a few coupons, so it doesn't take me too long to use them. I far prefer the self-checkout lines because I can get through the process far quicker than having someone else do it for me, mainly because I put quite a bit more product into each bag than a checker does.

Yep. I don't plan on quitting anytime soon. I just wish I would have started using them over ten years ago. I would have saved so much money. I just noticed that people have become quite intolerable of them as of late. A couple of years ago I had people telling me great job and they were quite interested. Now they swear and give me bad looks. Trust me I can handle it. I just don't get it when they can save so much money. I was using expensive glucosamine/chondroitin from the chiro's office that was costing me $70 for a two month supply. I switched to Osteo/Biflex with a sale at Walgreens coupled with coupon it costs me a lot less.

Too Bad
So sad
Love that lipstick
Aren't you glad! lol
Impatient people are always going to be around. Maybe she had to pee! lol

I try not to coupon at night or on Sat. when people are rushing but its my right. I never have 100 or anything and when Kroger sends me out a buy $140. get $14. back I'm using it. I pay my bills not them.
If I have a lot I tell someone who walks up like "Gotta warn ya I have a lot,it's like a clown car in here and coupons to boot.!
If I was a secret millionaire I would prob. still coupon.

We'd appreciate a heads-up about a clown car plus coupons scenario but wouldn't be rude about it if someone had coupons. We might leave the line to find one that was moving faster, but that's our right, too, and not a statement of irritation at someone using coupons.

Ah, yes, the whole "some people have it worse than you, suck it up" argument. I hate when people say that. When I was recovering from my motorcycle accident, relearning how to walk, shower myself, put on my own clothes, people would tell me "well, some people have died from your accident" or "you could be paralyzed", or any other versions of "you're not as bad off as other people". It didn't help, in any way. There are always people in a worse position than you currently are, that doesn't mean you have to be accommodating or ok with everything.

Just ignore the huffers and puffers who don't like your coupons. Let other people's problems stay just that- their problem. That being said, I do think it's courteous to warn others if you have a ton of coupons or plan on doing more than a few quick transactions instead of everything at once.

I wonder how many of the people that make a stink about coupons are the same ones that realize they forgot 'just one thing' as the cashier finishes ringing their order though? Then they disappear to 'grab it quick' and come back with an armload of new items, minutes later, like they made one more quick sweep of the store? I seem to frequently get stuck behind those people, which means either a) this kind of rude behavior is becoming more common or b) I stink at picking lines.

Kroger promotes them...It only take a few minutes to scan them.. We do open another register if someone has several for those that don't want to wait the extra minute.. Many times the person that stays in the line and waits are out before the one that changed lanes.. lol
