French Seam Tutorial

You need a 5/8” seam allowance to accomplish this type of seam.


With wrong sides of fabric together, sew a ¼” seam allowance.

Trim seam allowance to 1/8”.

Open out and press seam allowance to one side.

Fold on the seam line with right sides together and pin.
