Friday Stew

Recipe Description
Very Good and easy
Preparation Steps:
Prepare a 1 lb. bag of dried navy beans according to
package directions. I do it in a crockpot overnight.
Level of Difficulty:
Easy
Time Needed:
Ingredients:
1 pound navy beans

1 can chopped
tomatoes
1 cup potatoes cut
into small pieces
1 cup carrots cut
into small pieces
1 cup chopped onion
(or equivalent
dehydrated onions)
2 cloves garlic,
chopped (or
equivalent garlic
powder)
1/4 c oil (or you can
chop up some
bacon)
Serves:
4 to 6
Directions:
(if done on the stove top)
After the "first hour" of cooking add:

1 can chopped tomatoes
1 cup potatoes cut into small pieces
1 cup carrots cut into small pieces
1 cup chopped onion (or equivalent dehydrated
onions)
2 cloves garlic, chopped (or equivalent garlic
powder)
1/4 c oil (or you can chop up some bacon)
more water as needed (a quart or so, depending on
how much you used for cooking the beans)

Continue cooking until the vegetables are tender,
add salt and pepper to taste. 4-6 servings.
