Homemade "toys"
I don't know about other kids... but Tyler loves refrigerator magnets. He carries them around and sticks them to the fridge, oven, filing cabinets, doors, radiators, anything he can!
Last night I made him these cute Sesame Street magnets with frozen juice lids. He was so excited when he woke up and saw them! What a smile.
I had an old Sesame Street magazine here that came with some coloring books I bought at the thrift store awhile back. I used elmer's glue to attach the pictures and then mixed a little water with glue and painted it on top for a decoupage type of thing. For magnets I used an old advertisement magnet that I got in the mail from an insurance company, just cut it up into small pieces and hot glued it to the back. You may have to rough up the magnet a little with a nail file if they are real shiny ones to make them stick better.
The picture isn't to good, but you get the idea...
