~DH was able to get us 1/2 price breakfast because of his volunteer fireman discount

They billed us for "FREE" phone to phone minutes when DH would call me. YIKES!!! We have always had free verizon phone to verizon phone useage....at least for the last 4 years!

Didn't have the most frugal weekend, as my parents were in town and we were out and about, but here is some of it.

- washed some ziploc baggies
- had dinner out tonight with a giftcard from Christmas, and kids ate free
- heat at 65 day and 63 night, but it has been warm and not kicking on much
- hanging a load of laundry tonight
- we had leftovers for lunch one day
- we went to a maple sugaring festival and the regular admission for all of us, was almost as much as a family + 2 year membership, so we joined. This place is awesome and tons to do, even homeschool programs. We will get a lot of use out of this membership and save lots of money every time we go.
- wrote an article for $ on making your own baby food.
- free parking at the ballet this weekend
- found some curtains for my living and dining room and my mom bought the pillows for the couch to match YAY!
- fed my parents with items totally from the freezer and pantry, so special food bought at all

Monday, March 12th..

*Saved $8 at BJ's using coupons, and stuck to my list
*Went to Stop & Shop and saved $29 in coupons (only spent $22!) and got a few items free after coupons (Glade Scented Oil Refill, Pillsbury dinner rolls). I also picked up an item on sale, that I had a coupon for, and had a rebate form for. Triple play!
*Got a coupon for $.10 per gallon of gas at the Stop & Shop gas station
*Did laundry using less detergent and fabric softener than recommended
*Researched food processors on Amazon. We want to make our own baby food, and since we don't have a food processor, I'd rather get a small one that can puree instead of spending $20 on a "special" baby-food making blender. (On a side note, good article Jennifer!)
