I need to get back to being accountable so here it goes.

Sunday:
-breakfast and dinner from home
-didn't buy a newspaper since there were no coupons and didn't need to be tempted by sales papers
-lights off/blinds closed
-AC set to 78 and so far it hasn't come on
-took kids to pool for entertainment
-decided to cancel my Netflix subscription and rely on my public library and Redbox
-laundry in cold water
-menu planning for the week

~ hung clothes to dry
~ DH rehung a screen door on the back door so we can keep the door open once the mosquitoes come out (the dog destroyed the last one when she was a puppy)

*laundry with 1/2 detergent, hung to dry
*stocked up on 1/2 price chicken and steak (spent $20 for 6-7 meals worth of meat)
*windows open, using fans instead of a/c
*helping DH clean up the back patio to use instead of going to town when we're bored

~used gift certificate for free lunch for the family (still have $20 to use for a later visit)
~DH has a brisket on the grill (no need to heat the house...the weatherman said it feels like 98 today - I believe him!)
~made homemade biscuits instead of buying canned biscuits
~froze the leftover coffee in icecubes to use later for ice coffee
~stocked up on laundry detergent from a sale (won't have to buy any for a long while)
~sold another textbook on half.com

*Got two free reusable grocery bags at church
*Ate out for lunch, but had leftovers for dinner so got two meals out of it
*Went for a walk for free entertainment and exercise
*Did a load of laundry on cold with 1/2 the detergent
*Doing my own nails

*no driving = no gas used today
* Washing in cold and will hang dry in the AM
* Dinner on grill so no heating up the house
* Planting flowers and veggie garden and laying mulch today
* separated a couple plants and put in other garden areas instead of buying new plants
* No AC on as yet
* planning menu for the week. burgers and dogs on grill, mac salad and baked beans for tomorrow!
*reused a garbage bag that came full of coupons
*reading tonight for entertainment

Not gonna be a very frugal week, as I have GOT to have my hair colored. I have red hair, and I can't dye it myself!

But here's where I'll make up for it:
~eat all meals at home, bring snacks, drinks to ballpark
~water garden with rainwater from rain barrel
~keep lights off
~thermostat off, use ceiling fans
~wash in cold, hang dry
~keep up the change jar
~take lunch to work (2 days of school left!)
~clip coupons

I bought paint on Friday and painted my utility room, kitchen, and livingroom. The plan was to paint my bedroom and bath, but I couldn't find the energy! I'll do that Thursday when school's out!

*DH took DS to the park today, free entertainment
*Did three loads of laundry, two on cold, used 1/2 the detergent
*Found a coke cap and $.11 on our evening stroll, also picked up an aluminum can ($.05 deposit)
*Packing lunches for tomorrow, and getting dinner (in the crockpot) ready ahead of time
