~ Put in more CFL bulbs in our apartment.

Sunday:
-still sick so no major shopping...did take kids to Blockbuster to rent a video game. Came back home exhausted and I parked it on the couch for the next few hours
-windows open, it is amazingly cool here
-all meals at home
-clipping coupons for upcoming TRIPLE coupon days at Harris Teeter
-lights off
-no laundry day
-found my big upright freezer door ajar <gasp> Lucky for my children (the culprits) nothing was completely thawed out.

- went apple picking and spent the weekend processing 47 pounds of apples - yum!
- washed ziploc baggies
- hung a couple of loads of laundry
- had tomatoes from the garden
- AC off, but I did turn the heat on a little this morning. It was 63 in here today and it wasn't going to warm up all day, and we were freezing. I think we are totally done with the AC around here
- dinner from scratch
- dh changed the fuel filter in the van himself - savings of $62 over what the dealership wanted to replace it
- wrote some articles for $, but don't remember what they were at the moment
- got milk for $2.15 a gallon
- getting a cold, so I took some garlic and honey, hopefully I will feel better tomorrow
- used the diva cup all weekend

Went to Wallyworld for grocery shopping Sunday night. They had their 5 lb chubs of 83/27 hamburger, reg. $6 marked down to $4.20. We picked up 6 of them. Then 2 of them rang up wrong, so we got $3 off the total of our amount at the end for the "mis-ring".

On the way to WM, we stopped in at Rite Aid for the 4 roll pkg of Scott TP (1000 sheet rolls). They were on sale for $1.99. Then they had one of those automatic coupon machines there that gave a $1 off coupon!!! We picked up all 13 packages of TP they had and got them all at $.99 each!!!!!!!!! Great score!!!!

Lights off as much as possible

Got a bunch of free meat from my father-in-law so we'll be using that during the next couple of weeks.

Going to the library, reading, watching tv and scrapbooking w/ already purchased materials for entertainment.

Making some Christmas presents--no spending!!!!!

-A/C off all day
-Lights off most of the day because we weren't home :p
-Brought lunch to work and reused a soda cup that I saved to get free soda from the food court. (I work in a mall)
-Ate dinner at in-law's house (We brought some tater tots, but I used a coupon so it was only 67 cents for a big bag!)
-Did laundry at in-law's house so we didn't have to pay to do it at our apartment complex

- Shopped loss leaders for groceries
- Got about a two year supply of shampoo & conditioner for $10 at CVS
- Hit Walgreens and did rebate/sale/coupon shopping - got many items at lower than my best price book records (bought 8 boxes of cereal, LOL!)
- Discovered that getting the Sunday paper is a waste of money - didn't use one coupon, the circulars are in our free town paper, and I don't like to read it anyway
- Invested $15 or so in beads and stuff to decorate homemade Xmas gifts (will get stringing wire for .25/yd at the Scrap Exchange)
- Shopped for yarn for Xmas gift, but didn't buy yet - trying to use patience and research!

Bad news: the toilet flusher broke
Good news: it was the toilet that I just discovered has a slow leak from the tank, so I was going to gut it anyway

Sunday: we were gone most of the day. No A/C until bedtime. Dinner was potluck at the in-laws.

Monday: No lights on. Shades closed. A/C at 76.
Dinner will be on the grill so the house doesn't heat up.
Staying home most of the week. Combining trips.
