~Yesterday was one of those days out that just make me want to give up coupons forever.
I cut one manufacturer's coupon, 2 store coupons from the flyer and took a rain check.
I used the manufacturer's coupon at Walmart. It took forever to scan in. Then although the register displayed it as subtracted, my receipt didn't. And I used my charge. So I had to go to the service desk and wait 5 minutes for them to give me my dollar.
Then at the grocery the manager had to be called over to verify my rain check . Then he was called over again to verify that the store coupons were legit because one was ripped. The cashier ripped it but didn't own up to that to his manager. This all took another 5 minutes to figure out and adjust since the coupons were cents of by pound of what I purchased.
I'm a patient person but yesterday I had my two older kids with me. I was trying to look at everything as teaching the kids the value of patience and saving money. But I really just wanted to yell and forget the coupons.
Some days, 10 minutes of stressed waiting doesn't seem to be worth the few dollars I save.
