Wasn't sure where to post this, under Holidays or Kitchen so I chose here.

What kind of meals do you make Halloween Eve, (If you celebrate)
Do you theme cook? Something quick and easy?

TIA

Since the kids just want to gogogogogogogogo on Halloween, we do something quick like spaghetti, or even order pizza.... Keeps everything easy.....
I was thinking the same thing because the doorbell always rings during dinner *LOL*
I make homemade macaroni and cheese on Halloween. My grandma always made it on Halloween along with a pot of homemade chili...nothing like delicious, hot comfort food before or after trick-or-treating. And I like to make either popcorn balls or candied apples too:) When I was young, sitting at my grandma's kitchen counter eating mac & cheese and chili--wearing a costume--felt like the kickoff to the Holiday season:)
For the last several years I have made chili in the crockpot......quick (to put together) and easy and I don't have to watch is constantly!!:)
I think I would suggest a salad or vegetarian meal to counterbalance all of that candy. :D
Sloppy joes, chips and a vegtable tray is what I always made. It was quick and easy.

For as long as I can remember (when I was little) my family always had chili, apple cider and doughnuts. It was always a big deal. The tradition we added for ourselves was dh takes kids out with other fathers while I hand out candy.
Ha! do you ever remember any grownups going TOTing when you were growing up?
I have gone the frozen pizza route in the past, but I think I'll make chili this year.
i have to work, so we are having chicken adn noodles, we are not allowed to trick or treat out her so there is no real fun.
I'm not sure yet. I'm dragging butt today and not really motivated to do *anything*. I have ground beef defrosting in the fridge so maybe meatloaf.
