Ham and Apple Skillet

Recipe Description
A quick and easy recipe from an old friend, Gail P. recently published in Gooseberry Patch's Sunday Dinner at Grandma's cookbook.
Preparation Steps:
Level of Difficulty:
Easy
Time Needed:
20 minutes
Ingredients:
3 tbl. butter
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tbl. dijon mustard
2 cup apples, cored and diced
2 1 lb ham steaks
Serves:
6
Directions:
Melt butter in a large skillet and add brown sugar and mustard; bring to a simmer. Add apples; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Top apples with ham steaks. Cover with a lid; simmer for about 10 minutes more, until apples are tender and ham is heated through. I made this recipe and we all loved it, but it is just me and the two guys here, so it seemed as if it was too much ham. We ate on the leftovers for about a week. By then everyone was tired of it.
