I have the makings of 3 batches (2 loaves each) of homemade bread. Does anyone have any suggestions for FLAT things I can make in the bottom shelf of the oven? Doesn't have to be a full meal or even food, I just don't want to waste the time and energy from the bottom shelf.

I know the easiest thing would be cookies or pies, of course, but I would rather not bake sweets, as both :smooch: and I are trying to cut back on our sugar consumption.

Any suggestions, ladies and gents?

Parched peanuts! Just throw some raw peanuts (in the shell) on a baking sheet. Shake the nuts around every 5-6 minutes, don't burn them. Should be done in around 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Watch them closely I usually don't cook them on the bottom rack.
