On another board, I read a great weight loss tip: serve boring meals.

It makes sense. Last night we had plain ole sub sandwiches for dinner. And I didn't go back for seconds.

But I like to cook. And I like to eat.

So help me out with some boring dinner ideas, okay?

We're these homemade subs or ones from your fav place? I don't understand how they make them taste so much better.
OK boring meal, that's hard, lol. I like so many things...Give me liver & I won't eat.

I just thought of something I never go seconds on is New England boiled dinner. I don't like all that boiled mush. When I make it, the veggies are separate.

Cute!

Hubby is trying to get a healthier body too.

The kids only LIKE chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, & Alfredo pasta!

Well, here are my dinner menus for the next week. Some are less boring than others:

* Sat (fairly boring): perch fillets, rice, salad
* Sun (moderately boring): ravioli, salad
* Mon (NOT boring): crockpot porkchops, sauerkraut. baked potatoes, salad
* Tues (fairly boring): chick fried rice, fruit
* Wed (not too boring): chicken casserole, salad
* Thur (moderately boring): bean burritos, salad
* Fri (boring): lentil soup, salad

boiled chicken and rice - no seasoning.

and .. what my MIL calls "poop soup" - whatever random assortment of veggies you have, thrown in the slow cooker with a few cans of beans and some boullion, cooked til mush. it has almost zero taste, especially with her affinity for vegetable bouillion. the name? because it looks like and makes you go. :p

Poop Soup! I wouldn't be able to get my kids to eat it!

There's a fine line on boring meals ... if they're too boring, we end up snacking later.

Well, he's predictable.  :)

My DH is the pickiest man alive.  So, I feel like *everything* we eat is boring.  :)
