In the article the woman is comparison shopping for ingredients, not pre-made meals. She gets ingredients for: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and crescent rolls, pie and coffee from different stores. Or tries to. My local grocery is offering dinner for 8 for 89.99 and it is turkey, gravy, rolls and 2 sides. Almost twice what she is spending, half the sides and no pie or coffee. For 49.99 you can get dinner for 4, a breast, potatoes, gravy, rolls and 2 small sides. That is the price of convenience.
