Can anyone give me an easy recipe for homemade dog biscuits?
I need to make them as part of a christmas gift.
They have to last longer than 2 weeks as I need to mail the gifts.
If anyone has a recipe they have used and that their dog loves, I would love for you to share!
Please no peanut butter in the recipe as my son has a peanut allergy.
Thanks!!!!:hurray:

Here's one. I recommend turning the oven off when they're done and leaving them in for a while. They are best when they get real hard/crispy.

Note: It is said that lots of raw garlic isn't good for dogs, but this recipe only contains 1/2 tsp. or garlic powder, which you could leave out if you wish, of course.

Bacon Flavored Biscuits

Preheat oven to: 350 degrees

2.5 c Whole Wheat Flour (or other whole grain flour)
1/2 c Milkspam! It is better fried than typed (powered milk mix 1/4-1/3 cup power to 1/2 cup water)
1 Egg
5 TB rendered bacon fat or chicken fat (Chicken fat better for dogs)
1/2 TB garlic powder
1/2 TB Salt (salt can be omitted or use bullion cube)
1/4 c Cold water
1 TB Vegetable oil to grease cookie sheet or pan

Mix all ingredients well. Pinch off pieces of the dough and roll them into two-inch balls. spam! It is better fried than typed Bake them at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Let them cool, then store in an airtight container or freeze in plastic bags. Double recipe it store well in freezer.

I think my Dh would like these, he may have to fight the dog for some.
LOL! Brush them with butter, and you'd be good to go.

Oh, that was supposed to say 1/2 tsp. of garlic powder, of course.
