I slice mine after it is cool and put it in a plastic bag. I slice it with the electric knife, I get more even slices.

Now it is only dh and I so it is out for at least 2 days as I make small loaves.

How do you keep it from drying out?? I baked on Thursday and had a sandwich tonight and the bread was very dry.

The weather here has been very damp and rainy (seems like forever!)

Any suggestions??

I slice mine with an electric knife too. I have tried with a regular bread knife and I squash the bread and make it look ugly. LOL
We eat homemade bread so fast that it never gets stale, but I would just freeze it and defrost it when you want more.

I have a Tupperware Bread saver container( I'm sure there is an official name for it..lol!) with the top opening lid. It keeps bread fresh for a LONG time!! (if it doesn't get eaten first!!;) )
