Do you all know what I am talking about??? The ones with the elastic around it?? I have the hardest time folding them and making them look nice to put them away and I have like 20 of them. What do I do with them?!

They don't have to be perfect to look nice, just ensure the final product folded up looks nice. Keep all the corners (elasticy) parts folded to the inside, so by the time your done it just looks like a normal sheet.

Ha-ha. I know what you mean. I once watched Martha Stewart fold them perfectly but I can never get them to look that neat. lol

Unless I have a second person to help me, mine are not neat at all. To solve that part of my problem I get DH, DD or DS to help. They take one side, I take the other. We match up the elastic edges and fold. We then take my elastic edge and match it to theirs', keeping the straight (non-elastic edges) together, neat and straight. We continue to fold until all elastic edges are on the inside.

To make them all have a uniform look, once everything is folded, I place the fitted, flat and extra pillow cases inside a pillow case.

Yep, just like it says.

If you don't have someone to help....tuck all the elastic corners inside one another and lay it all on a bed......start folding from there. That is what I have to do. It is 'passable' when I am done and fits in the cupboard..........that is all I care about.

lol... wish he demonstrated with a king or queen size fitted sheet. I don't spend that much time on folding them either. :)

I started putting my sheets inside the pillow case for storage last year. No more missing pillow cases and everything looks neat. As for how I fold the fitted sheet, I just match the corners and do the best I can , it really doesn't matter now that they are out of sight.

I also like this method:

take them off the bed
wash
dry
put them on the bed

Why the heck does anyone have *like 20* fitted sheets???
For us, we have different sheets for different seasons.

3 beds - 2 sets of flannel sheets for winter and 2 sets of cotton or t-shirt sheets for summer for each bed. Plus, I replace the sheets as good sales on high thread counts come up. Then I do not throw out the old ones. They become doggie and kitty blankets.

Currently, we have around 13 or 14 full sets of sheets and an additional 5 or 6 mismatched ones that are for the furry babies.

There is several on Youtube. Personally I wouldn't put that much energy into it. lol Not Martha but.....

YouTube- How to Fold a Fitted Sheet Like a Pro
This is exactly how I fold mine, 'cept I don't lay it out on a table or anything. I just do it by holding it up in my hands. But if you have someone else help to fold them, it does go quicker.

I think like anything else, the more you do it, the easier it becomes.
