~Certainly interesting and a different way to do something common. But it doesn't take only two seconds. In fact, I don't think it will save time at all. But if you really hate peeling potatoes and like steam in your face and ice water on your hands and more dishes to wash then go for it.
I can casually peel a potato in 20 seconds, btw. ~

Blanching, except a heck of a lot longer. The 2 seconds of peeling is actually 20 minutes of boiling and two containers to wash.

Thanks for sharing, though, I never really thought about it working on potatoes.

She looks like she's aged almost five whole years since she was on Gilligan's Island.

When we started leaving the peels on when we made mashed potatoes, it was mostly because we were lazy. Now they're "gourmet". Go figure.

I had to share that on Facebook. That is just the most awesome thing I've seen. I'd never think to score it and boil it. You're just going to boil the potato anyways when you make either potato salad or mashed potatoes.

There's also a lot less hands on time even if it does take longer. If you have other cooking to do it might come in handing. (Although I agree the title is kind of misleading. That took 15 minutes)

My thoughts too. Sure wouldn't want to do this mid summer, but in the fall, it might be okay. Also, as said above, I'd only do this if I had a reason to boil water anyway, AND had some overwhelming reason why I couldn't use the skins.

It did occur to me though, are the skins cooked? Could you freeze them and then stuff them later?
