Greetings! Not from "Misery" :p but I know what you're talking about the "lack of winter" -- we had a warm, cozy winter right up til about mid-February, and than wham! -- it was like winter blew up in our faces! :p And I hate snow! :grrr:

Enjoy your time at the Village! It's a great place to call home!

Howdy Y'all

Nice to meet y'all!

My front yard has turned into a swamp with all this rain! :rain:
My cleaning schedule has changed because of this rain! I had scheduled to clean my stairs, which of course are covered with beige carpet, but with two dogs...well do I need to stay more?

Your grandfather sounds like a character! Mine was too and I miss him and his ways. I am kind of a James Gang Nut! I had a history teacher in middle school that took some time with MO/Kan History because many of us were saying that nothing happened in history and MO/Kan was boring.

Now I live so close to the James Farm and pretty sure that Jesse/Frank and the Younger boys might of rode and played in my backyard! I keep hoping to see the ghosts of the boys riding thru at night!

Speaking of ghosts, I checked out your website HF and I am impressed with your yard decorations! The children are adorable in their costumes! What smiles they have, they sure do light up the room!

Again, thank you for your welcomes and greetings. You sure make someone feel right at home here at the Frugal Village! :teddy2:

Howdy from Missouri! I'm in the foothills of the Ozarks, near Lake of the Ozarks. Dh, Dd, and I used to live in K.C. I worked at a Bob's IGA on Antioch road. Is it still there?
Anyho, Welcome!

Yes I believe that Bob's IGA is still there. It was there the last time I was in that part of town.
I am practicing to be a hermit... :loop:
No seriously, I am a homebody because of my health issues.

I haven't been to the Ozarks in a long time either. I have wanted to go down in the fall to see the follage in all its colors.

This is a small world. I worked at the Bobs for while in the bakery. Unfortunately, all the Bob's IGA went out of business. That one has been turned into a Westlake hardware store. It is very nice.

OOOPS.. color me red. :tom:

I guess that just proves how long it has been since I was in that part of town!!

The sun came out and the rain has stopped! My strawberries are going wild!
It might be a big harvest this year!

Hi. I'm Beth. I'm from Springfield but we have 12 1/2 acres between Strafford and Fair Grove. I taught for 2 years in Camdenton and really enjoyed the Lake of the Ozarks area. I met my husband at a little country western place called Teasers. He followed me to car to ask me to dance. My mom used to cross herself when we drove by (and she's not even Catholic!). Right now the kids and I are living in Lebanon (the country, not the town up I-44 from Springfield), where my dh is from. In August we're moving to Kuwait. So this is really nice, to be able to talk to people from around my neck of the woods. After we got married we lived in Florissant (north St. Louis county) and before I lived in Camdenton I taught for a year in Forsyth, a few miles from Branson.
Have I covered enough of the state yet? :D
