My youngest DS' birthday is next Thursday, and his school lets him bring cupcakes to school for the kids in his class. We live about a ten minute walk from his school and I'm not always so graceful (which could spell crushed cupcakes trouble if I'm not extremely careful). I'm looking for a way to transport cupcakes to school and keeping them from falling all over the place.

Any ideas?

Take a piece of cardboard and cut out circles for the cupcakes to fit into. A muffin pan can be your template for size and distance apart. If you need to cover it with foil so it looks better you can. You could then carry them in a box or in a large shopping bag.

I second the muffin tin idea. Or, if you are feeling crafty you could arrange them into a shape (basketball, teddybear, butterfly, etc.) like they do at Walmart and carry them in a cake pan or platter.

Call me simple but I wash the cupcake pan and place the frosted cupcakes right back in the baking pans.

Well here goes my idea : ) :tay:

*Use the cut down cardboard box from case lot goods, (you know the bottled water, soda, canned vegi's).....short sides
*Line with foil
*put cupcakes in
*cover across the top with plastic wrap
you can carry it like a tray with both hands, should work out well.

Yup. That's how I'd do it. Simple, and you don't have to make something to carry the cupcakes, or buy anything either. :) And do the kids care if they get 'em in something that's not "fancy"?
