Well, the 8th grade trip to Boston was a success. The kids were SO well-behaved and they (and the teachers) had a great time. They really seemed to finally get the point that the more they show we can trust them, the more freedom we can give them. Sure, there were a few snafus along the way, but for the most part, it was great. However, SO glad to be home!

On Day 1, we walked the Freedom Trail with the kids. Thank goodness it was a beautiful day outside. (Beautiful Boston day, that is.) Then we went to the Science museum to see an IMAX film on Coral Reefs. Day 2 we went to Plimouth Plantation and the kids interacted with the Pilgrims, and we went to Plymouth and saw the Mayflower II and Plymouth Rock. Then, we went back to the Science museum and let them explore for a few hours. Then, on Day 3, we went to Harvard, MIT, Bunker Hill and saw a presentation on the Battle of Bunker Hill, to the USS Constitution, and finally to the aquarium.
