Why? Several reasons really; some of which I've just noticed. For example: His food. He gets the same brand regardless if there is something on sale for cheaper. Me? Do I buy Kraft cheese if the store brand is less expensive? No. Do I get Garnier or Herbal Essences shampoo if it isn't on sale (and with coupons for crying out loud!?) No. But the cat, he gets to have the same food ALWAYS, no matter the cost.
His litter. Unfortunately, I have to agree with him on this one. I have a 600 square foot apartment; you'd better believe I'm buying the fancy schmancy litter with the "odor cyrstals." He rebels if I don't anyway. For some reason, if I buy a different litter (this will not happen again I assure you) he throws it right out of the box! Tons of it, all over the place. And this is a big cat people. He can move a LOT of litter. But again, do I get the super-soft toilet paper with lotion? Nope. CVS brand for me. But for the cat? Hmph..... And don't get me started on the cleanup routine for HIS box versus MY toilet...
Do I get a doorman and chauffer? I think not. The cat on the other hand decides when he wants out and who is there to do it? Me. The cat cannot be left alone out on the patio (dogs in the complex, plus all the lower levels look the same and he'll wander around the fence to the next patio, then look at the door as if to say, "OK, let me in now.") So because he cannot be left alone I get to babysit. That is until he wanders back to the door and stares at me....spoiled creature.
But, he is cute, isn't he?
