My freezer and pantry are pretty full so I'll join you. Tonight I used salmon from the freezer and some brown rice that I have had for a while.

Niko, it was continued in June, just added to the May thread.

I have a partial list of items I want to use up. I'm trying to use up the bits and pieces that end up in my kitchen freezer, my fridge is a side-by-side so it doesn't hold a lot of big items.

1/2 loaf sliced bread
1/2 loaf french bread
partial bag egg noodles
2 bags frozen veggies
about 2 table. tomato paste
spaghetti sauce small amount
frozen strawberry jam
1 cup chicken broth
partial bag cut broccoli
partial bags of choc chips and butterscotch chips--I see some cookies in my future :)

from the pantry the only items that have passed their 'date'
can sliced mushrooms
4 cans beans sprouts
can stewed tomatoes

Thank you, went back and looked and I'd even posted in it...ugh...now don't know whether to post July here or in the other one...not being labeled June threw me off...double ugh!

Tonight...rest of spaghetti sauce in fridge along with
1 ziplock hamburger
1 jar spaghetti sauce partially empty
1 new jar sauce...all mixed together...now have a BIGGER container of spaghetti sauce in fridge. But done for another night
1 partial box noodles
1 full box noodles
rest of pkg garlic bread from fridge

Made some headway.

I am in. The garden is coming in like crazy. We are canning some and freezing some, but I am already tight on room and mom and dad's deep freezer is so full it will barely close. We haven't begun to get the lima beans, peaches, tomatoes, etc!!!

I have been using lots of odds and ends:

finished kids cereal
used last jar of spaghetti sauce
used up 2 bags of hamburger meat
used up next to last bag of chicken breast
used up 3/4 pack frozen noodles
meatballs
lots of fresh fruit and veggies
pancakes
ice cream
pudding mix
frozen breakfast meal
broccoli and rice bag
2 box meals (hamburger helper type)
2 pack of hot dogs
bacon
grits
green beans
roast

Will continue working on it this month. I spent $40 week one on groceries to restock and do not plan on shopping anymore. I will send DH to pick up anything little I need!

I should join this challenge instead. We're expecting a 1/4 beef soon and the garden should start to come in. Today I used frozen ham bone and lima beans for soup, old chicken carcass for soup. I pulled out what is presumably honey garlic sauce to marinade chicken in tomorrow for skewers. I also used a box of pectin from last year to make freezer jam.

I'm in for July. We went crazy buying groceries for a few bbq's we had. No grocery money left. We have a bit of meat left. It will just have to last. at least until the 5th of next month. I'm hoping for the 15th of August.. but they may be pushing it, a lot...

Well, we have been working on this for the month of July, but now is crunch time. We share a garden with my parents. We grow the corn and they grow the rest. Well, they have a HUGE deep chest freezer and we have an upright freezer. We have harvested tons of squash and zucchini. That filled up their freezer. Those plants are almost done. Now the corn is ready. We have picked over 250 ears in the last week. Now both freezers as well as our frige freezers are full to the brim!! No more gardening until we eat what is here. Thankfully now is green bean and cucumber (pickles) time which we can. Dad says the limas should be ready in a day or two which we freeze!!

Argh! I don't even want to think about what needs used up. We have a whole cow coming in about a month and both freezers are full to the brim. We need to use up some of the stuff in there. I also need to get in there and reorganize things.

I'm slowly using things up. Sausage, hot dogs, and a loaf of bread from the freezer. Pizza sauce and crackers from the pantry. We also had some peaches that were on the verge of spoiling so I peeled and chopped them, sprinkled some sugar on them and we had them at lunch.

Yesterday for supper I fixed MORE spaghetti. Luckily they asked for it so win win. So 1 leftover container of sauce used out of fridge and while digging found another with a small amount so dumped it in too. NOW I have THAT sauce back in fridge but only 1 small container.

Used almost a whole box of spaghetti noodles, not quite.
Half box of garlic bread.
Also found in fridge a container with about a cup or so of black bean chili so heated it up over some Tostitos with some shredded cheese. I had that. Really good.

Also 2 cans chicken that hubby found and made chicken salad.

So 2 containers out of fridge and working down on that large stockpile of spaghetti sauce and noodles so I can replace with new dates.
