There is, apparently, a force-field (I suspect quantum energy and a time-space rift) around the gym to keep me from getting there. Oh well, seems that as much as I stress my heartrate should be in the "target zone" all the time!
Yesterday I *DID* get off work early... but I didn't go to Home Depot and get garden bricks, nope, I went to the movies, instead. I have been waiting to see World War Z, and while it wasn't a life-altering experience, it *WAS* two hours without the kids and without work. Now, mind you, Sis still called 3 times and Hubs called even though he KNEW I had gone to the movies... punks! I didn't take any of the calls, of course, but it was distracting and annoying because I worried something as wrong.
Anyway, yesterday:
Dropped two grocery bags of clothes and a figurine/statue off at charity
Went grocery shopping (kids with me, they were terrible, it was not a good experience for any of us...)
That's it for useful things... the kids were being difficult...
Today-- well, obviously I'm not typing this at the beach-- we did not go to the ocean today after all. The patchy weather is the official reason, but DD9 is a bit off, too, and frankly I'm worn out from dealing with her and DD6 and I didn't think any of us would enjoy it enough to be worth the trouble, travel, expense, and risk... so we're sticking close to home today... it's a better idea.
So today we are working on:
Clean the kids' bedrooms
Put away the laundry in my room
There's two kids and two rooms, so that make three things (lazy-person math!) ;D
They've each worked on their rooms a little so far today and now they are playing in their new paddle-pool that they blew up and filled themselves after clearing a space on the deck.
I'll put "clean off the deck" back on the to-do for tomorrow, no point today, there's stuff that need to go to the dump, which is closed today. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
Oh, and if they behave (and by that I mean "avoid driving me any crazier,") we'll go to the community beach this evening for a reward.
So, clean their rooms
put away laundry (which is essentially cleaning MY room)
go to the beach (maybe)
