K-mart is not he only place that does this. Dillards charges a one dollar a month fee after two years. But it is not retroactive. It does cost a company to keep records of these things. I personaly could never forget about a gift card and not use it by that time anyway. I dont see the big deal, you snooze ya loose!

I think people should get what they pay for, and if K-Mart said they were as good as cash and never stated any fees applied- PAY UP K-MART.That is a form of a lie by omission.

I think that stinks and I'd never buy a card from a company who imposed these kind of fees. No wonder K-Mart is going bankrupt.

I also wouldnt buy a GC from anyone that charges fees for non use. That stinks

boy that stinks!!! walmart doesnt do that. but they do have a 2 year claus that you have to use it all before the 2 years are up on the date u bought it.
that i dont mind, ill be useing mostly mine at xmas.
