Hi all!
So, I had started knitting a scarf, a few years ago, and then set it aside until a few weeks ago. I'd say I have about 1/3 of a scarf, but not enough of that color yarn left to knit the entire thing. I happen to have another skein (quite a different color, but I don't mind) that I could use for the rest, but I don't know how to go about it. Is it as simple as tying one piece of yarn to the other? Thanks!

You can tie the two different yarns together leaving a longish tail for now (couple of inches), then after finishing the scarf cut the ends shorter and weave them into the scarf. There might be a way you can switch to the second yard without tying a knot and then weaving the ends into the scarf also. You would just start a new row using the second yarn.

Do you Pinterest? There are all sorts of wonder knitting tips on there. Alternately, YouTube has great knitting "how to" videos.
