I just did three loads of laundry yesterday, and realized how much spray 'n wash I could go through this summer. It seems that with a farm to mow, fence to make, and animals to take care of, my husband gets pretty dirty. I've read on FV where you can mix hydrogen peroxide & liquid dish soap to make a hm stain remover. Does anyone know if this can be sprayed on ahead of time and then laundered later, or does it have to go in the wash immediately? Any other recipes for stain removers? Is this safe/effective to use on baby clothes?

Thanks for your help!

Here is one that I use and it has gotten out some pretty tough stains. I mix equal amounts of automatic dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent together with the hottest water the fabric can take in a big bucket. I put all the clothes that need stains removed in the bucket and let it sit overnight. In the morning I just dump the whole bucket's worth into the washer and run it through. Gets out all the stains!

hey one thing you should be aware of dishwasher detergent nearly always has bleach in it...sooo make sure your clothes are color fast...also the hydrogen peroxide will bleach out colors also.. one thing I use is dawn dishwashing liquid on the stain, it works really good and is safe on all colors..also a booster than takes out stains you might forget is adding a cup of baking soda and a cup of vinegar to your wash...it helps out alot too.
