Lemon Chiffon Pie


Recipe Description
Very easy refrigerator pie made with jello and cool whip​
Preparation Steps:
boil 2/3 cup water
add enough ice cubes to cold water to measure 1 cup
grate lemon peel
if preferred, bake cracker crust at 350 for 5mins​

Time Needed:
4hrs 30mins​
Ingredients:
2/3cup boiling water
1 pkg.(4 serving size), Jello Lemon Flavored Sugar Free Low Calorie Gelatin
ice cubes
1/2 cup cold water
1-1/2tsp. grated lemon peel
2Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tub Cool Whip ( any kind)
1 ready to use reduced fat graham cracker crust(6oz)​
Serves:
8 servings​
Directions:
In a large bowl, stir boiling water into gelatin mix for at least 2 mins until completely dissolved. Add water and ice cubes; stir until completely melted. Stir in lemon peel and juice.
Add whipped topping and stir with a whisk until completely blended. Refrigerate 25-30 mins, or until mixture is very thick and will mound.
Spoon into crust

Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight. Store the leftover pie in the refrigerator.


Notes:
Any flavor of jello will work in this recipe. If using orange, use orange peel and juice. If using lime, use lime peel and juice, etc.
Any kind of whipped topping works. I use Fat Free store brand all the time, works fine.​
