Lemon Herb Rice Mix

Recipe Description
A flavorful yet inexpensive side dish to brighten any entree.​
Preparation Steps:
-Gather measuring cups and spoons.
-Measure out appropriate amt of rice and pour into a quart sized zip top bag or jar.
-Measure out all spices and herbs and seal in a snack sized zip top bag. Store this bag inside the bag or jar with the rice.​
Level of Difficulty:
Time Needed:
* 1 cup long grain white rice
* 2 vegetable or chicken flavored bouillon cubes-crushed
* 1 teaspoon dry lemon crystals
* 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
* 1/4 teaspoon thyme
* 1/4 teaspoon rosemary
* 1/2 teaspoon sugar
* 2 tsp dried parsley
* 2 tsp dried butter
flavorings-(such as Molly McButter)​
To Prepare:

* 1 tablespoons evoo or butter/margarine
* 1 package of Lemon Herb Rice Mix
* 2 cups water
In a 2 quart saucepan combine the margarine and Rice Mix.
Saute until toasted.
Carefully add the water.
Add the seasonings from the snack size zip top bag.
Bring the mixture to a boil.
Place a lid on the pot.
Reduce the heat to the lowest possible flame. Simmer, covered until done, or for about 30 - 40 minutes.​

Yes!! It's also excellent with lemon pepper salmon. It pairs well with most them a bit of a zip.

Don't think I am familiar with 'dry lemon crystals'...what are they?
I found mine in the dried spice isle.
It's like tiny lemony crystal granules. The last time I looked, there were a couple of different brands. They weren't super cheap, but they didn't break the bank either. A little goes a long way and it keeps well. Just keep them dry and out of any extreme temps.
