We don't seem to do this often enough. Michael has made leaps and bounds in the past couple of months. Just yesterday, he finally accomplished knowing how to brush his teeth. Up until then, I've always had to do it for him. Another achievement!!

He has over the past couple of weeks, learnt how to put on his shoes without any help. Another achievement.

Just recently unfortunately she's been a nightmare!

BUT in the beginning she learnt to talk and walk all over again despite the Dr's saying she probably never would.

And she can do MOST things now with her left hand including writing.

When I told her she would probably never walk she looked me straight in the eyes and said 'Oh Yes I WILL!' :angel:

Her strength back then amazed me!

Zachary is learning to use the potty. It's an adventure. He's talking more and more. Each day, I am surprised with something new that he can say. I remember it wasn't long ago he couldn't jump or swing on swings. Through OT, he can now do both and he does them ALL the time. LOL

I still get weepy when I think how far this child has come.

aww.. that makes me weepy too. I remember those days when I thought those basic skills would never come for my DD, but you just keep pushing forward and it sure makes the accomplishments all the more sweeter!!

Well, the biggest accomplishment on my DD's mind right now is that she just got her braces off ... and boy she has a beautiful smile Two years is a long time when you're a teen! She's been a real trouper.

Chris is one of my special children. He is very talented at baseball. He has big dreams and I hope one day he reaches them. He is learning delayed and takes resource classes, but is very athletic. He gives his all in school, athletics and home.

Richard is another one of my special children. He is dyslexic and has struggled most of the time. School is not easy to him. I just think it is amazing when he comes home with this thick book to read and reads it!! He loves to read Tom Clancy books.

Dakota is the last of my special children. He is special in a different way. He is GT (gifted and talented) and struggles with some of his peers that don't understand him. I am just happy for him when he makes it through a day without breaking down. He likes to be challenged and can think of the answer before I can.
