Okay now I know you folks have posts in the gadzillions but for me I just can't post that much. So I have finally made it to post 500 and am thrilled. I read much more than that but I just don't have anything new to add to many of the posts. As I have said so many times, thanks to all the villagers for making this the best place on the internet to be - especially Sara and Gabe.

Now for the life update - I have met with the police investigator again and she's told me that the stalker is basically planning to try and smear my reputation and make it out that I am just trash. He's told her that we are just having a lovers spat and that we are hot and heavy. Such flat out lies but nevertheless I will have to stand up in court and defend my reputation. All of his accusations are false, very false. We did see each other briefly several years ago and that was it. I don't understand why me the victim is being so trashed and him the stalker is not. I have always heard that the victim suffers from the crime and the trial and now I think its really true. Oh well. I have an appointment to see a court advocate counselor on Monday and she deals specifically with stalker cases. She is going to try and help me deal with some of the emotions I am having and help me prepare for the character attack. Best of all - she's free!!!!

Win or lose, I will have at least made my stand. SO and I are still hanging in there and trying to salvage our relationship. Its not easy but I am thankful that he is willing.

It really is too bad the victim is the one who has to defend themselves. It true more often when women have to protect themselves from men ! Thanks for all the encouragement guys. I did talk a tiny bit to my pastor yesterday and it felt good to have him say that he would be praying for me. I will see the counselor today and hopefully that will lift me up a bit too. I was looking over the Sunday school reading yesterday and this verse seemed to be the one for me:
Forgetting what is behind me and straining towards what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

To me it says - I cannot undo the past and I have to live in the present but I can strive for a better tomorrow.
