Lisa's Homebaked Meatloaf

Recipe Description
I always had trouble with meatloaf until I did my own experimenting and came up with this. Its perfect and delicious every time. My family loves it and always ask for more. Any leftover gets eaten quickly on sandwiches. Yum!​
Preparation Steps:
You will need a large cake sheet size baking pan. A large bowl for mixing.​

1 hour 15 minutes​
4 to 5 pounds lean ground chuck
1 medium diced onion
1/2 cup ketchup
1 can tomato sauce
1 packet meatloaf seasoning
1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 pkg. of round buttery crackers, crushed
1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
1 egg​
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Dump all dry ingredients into a big bowl and then add all the wet ingredients to it and using your hands mix up thoroughly. If it feels a little dry add more ketchup. It needs to be a wet but not soppy wet consistancy.

Next put all the ingredients into the baking dish and flatten into pan. Squirt more ketchup on the top and brush it around with a spoon.

Pop it into the preheated oven and bake. It usually takes about an hour depending on your oven.
