Hi all

I am looking for a specific crock pot apple butter recipe that was posted on this board before. I simply can not find it now that I need it. This recipe started with apple sauce and cooked in the crock pot 8 hours. The recipe had photos of each step to take also.
I am hoping one of you see this post and point me to the correct recipe! Help!!!!!

I'm not sure about the one that was posted before, but here is the recipe I have in my files:

Crockpot Apple Butter

7 c. applesauce (homemade or commercial)
2 c. apple cider
1 1/2 c. honey
1 t. ground cinnamon
1/2 t. ground cloves
1/2 t. ground allspice

In a crockpot, mix all ingredients together, cover and cook on low heat for 14-15 hours or until the mixture is deep brown and thick. (I find that it works well to do this after 5-6 hours with the lid off the crockpot. It reduces quicker) Pack while hot into 4 sterile pint sized jars and process in a hot water bath for 10 mins. Cool and store. Yield: 4 pints.
