We are redoing so much in our house and making a ton of changes.

I do paint and sell on ebay(hand painted shabby chic and cherries) but i am taking the summer off to spend time with my dds and on our house.

I am going in a new direction and doing all the art in our home in abstract and in oils.

I saw a great painting--80 DOLLARS for one medium to large work of art. I can do my entire living room for that and I like what I paint!

I already did my kitchen art but they are STILL drying.

Paint costs aside they cost me less than $8 for both pieces!

They are 11x14.

I just want to put the idea out there that there are alternatives to home decor that don't rob you blind.

I have no talent when it comes to art! I have seen your hand painted art on ebay and it is beautiful. I hope you will share some photos of your latest venture when it is done.

My friend picks up old paintings cheap at yard sales and on the side of the road, and paints over them. She does some neat abstract stuff. She puts them up in her house, and people are always commenting on them, so she's decided to try selling a few.

Sorry I just noticed this post had hits.

Right now my sewing/painting room is empty because of redoing the floors.

I will try and get some pictures asap.
