Has any one made oil candles from Mason Jars. I was wondering what different types of "objects" can be put in the jar for decorations. I've read about dried herbs, beads, etc. I was was wondering about silk flowers?

This sounds great but where am I going to find the glass wick holders? I wonder if anything could be substituted?

I read that tutorial, and it sounds easy enough. Just wondered about the possibilities of what to put inside for decorations.

And was wondering if you could add scented oil.

I googled glass wick holders and there are lots of places that sell them individually or in lots. Some places sell the mason jar lid with the wick already attached.

There were several different instructions I found, the majority of them just said to use a nail to cut the hole in the jar lid and put the wick through.

I'm just trying to get my ideas figured out for my Christmas projects this year.

I'm pretty sure you can either get scented oil or you can can something that can be added to regular lamp oil to give it a scent. I know I've smelled a scented oil lamp before!
