Cat Felidae Carnivore Small to medium-sized cats Whiskers

These 3 men and a little lady all look almost identical, so I’m not tormenting them for photos just yet as they are still settling in.

They all guzzled themselves into tummy aches tonight at their 1 AM feeding, so now after 2 hours af howling, they are all finally back asleep. Burping a kitten was a new one for me!

They are now about 3 weeks old, so can’t even pee on their own yet… so I am definitely looking forward to them being able to intake/output on their own!!!

Their little ears haven’t popped up yet and they look like wing-less bats! They are still crawling, but they love to climb. Oh, and those tiny murder mittens? Yeah, those little foot needles don’t retract yet… no wonder their Mom bailed!!!

Anyway, I thought I’d give them their own thread for when they get a bit more photogenic…

And for now, until their personalities come out, we are just calling them by their collar colors… green is the girl, orange is the runt, blue is the biggest andseems to like belly rubs, and yellow is the loudmouth…

more to follow…

so cute! we raised some of our cats from that young.. my mom had a cat that kept having kittens in her yard but couldn't care for them if more then one (mom tried to trap the mom to get fixed) so had sets going though. she had to wear gloves when they got older lol were all over her at feeding time. they were in their own room. I want a tabby like that!!

They all look the same, but this one is Blue…The babies went to the vet today… Did you know kitten enemas are a thing??? You do now!!!

They have been eating like mad, but were still showing signs of dehydration, including 3 of them refusing to poop… So everyone but orange got tiny enemas, and they all got some extra fluids injected.

Even the vet couldn’t get yellow and blue to poop! (My babies are full of 💩 💩 💩, just like my human children!!!) Patients with diarrhea at work, constipated kittens at home… what a glamorous life I lead!!! They have a follow-up scheduled for Tuesday…

So while I lost sleep and had to take an extra trip to the city, at least I got to pick up an extra canister of formula powder (which we will be diluting to see if that helps— that saves me $20+ and a trip to the pet store) and we will be staying close to home the next few days, instead of spending $19/person x5 to go to a tulip farm in VA… (might still go later in the season, though, when the kittens are less helpless…)

So adorbs, Z. Thank you for taking them in. They're very lucky they found someone who cares. I hope they work out their digestive issues soon and will be okay.

Once upon a time, all 4 kittens were clean at once. True story!

Just saw this - wow you have nerves of steel. I think that is why mama cats lick their tummies to get the digestion going.
