Good morning!

I slept miserably for some reason, so I'm drinking extra coffee this morning! Well, today is a mixed up schedule again. I have to take dd1 back to the pediatrician's office this morning for a follow-up on her infection in her parotid gland. Such a weird child, I asked her why she couldn't just get the flu like the other kids. lol If she's cleared to go back to school, then I'll take her after lunch and then head in to work myself for a couple of hours. If she's not, I'll bring her home and get her settled in with her homework and then take off for work. It's such a weird feeling to have her old enough to stay home without me when she's sick.

We don't have any activities planned tonight, other than my oldest wanting to get together with the crocheting club after school with her 4H group. However, probably not the best if she's getting over being sick! So I will focus on slowly cleaning the areas I neglected over last week when dh was here, and do my usual 1 load of laundry and put away. Such a simple thing to remember, yet it is so nice to never have a huge pile of laundry to work thru on the weekend!

Have a great day!

Aww, I hope your little one feels better soon Vanessa!

Today I got up early and hit the floor running ~ not bad for a Monday.

I did the morning routine, brought Diva to school and then stopped at the grocery store for more coupon shopping (Was $27, paid $15 - needed everything)

Taking a few minutes to myself... inhale, exhale... tinker online and then work in the kitchen a bit. Now that the renovations are FINALLY done in there, I have a lot of work ahead of me, starting with the cabinets. :thud:

Pick Diva up from school, stop at the ex's to pick-up her jacket :sigh: help with homework, peel her Pomagranate (yum) and enjoy the outside before it gets too cold and/or dark.

Cook dinner and make her lunch for tomorrow.

In between I will work on the shawl I am knitting.

Good morning. :)

I was supposed to be off work today, but I had to switch it to tomorrow so that I can take DS8 to a dental appointment. So I have to leave in an hour, but I don't want to

I was up at 5 and wasted a ton of time online this morning. I did get a batch of muffins baked for breakfast/lunches. I'm so tired of packing lunches- esp for DS6 who doesn't want meat or sandwiches  He gets a grab bag of finger foods.

While making muffins I realized that I am out of both flour and brown sugar. How the heck did that happen?? I used the last of the AP and tossed in some cake flour that has been in the pantry since I don't know when. :ack: I got no complaints about the muffins, it must have been ok.

So, this morning's a wash, but tonight I'll be working on laundry :sigh: and homework. I'm also going to start researching something cute that I can make the boys for Christmas. Maybe I will pull out my crochet hook and have a go at some crocheted animals...

shoiji - you and me both. I can't 'get' what this cold/flu bug is but it also wont 'leave' either :( Hope you get well soon

Today - I hope to putter around the house and do some 'purging'. On weekends it seems dad doesn't want to do anything and friends do. I think I need to revert back to my 'do everything during the week' so wknds are free routine again.

I have calls in to several Dr's and specialists for dad, trying to coordinate his tests and appts - I'm playing secretary

Take car in for warranty service before warranty expires.

Need to figure out what to do with chicken leg quarters for dinner with a side.

Switch out bedsheets, possibly wash them at/after 9pm tonight.

Pay bills/work the budget & crunch numbers again.

Other then that - I plan to take it easy if I can - need to get rid of whatever I have *shakes fist*

Today is my birthday :cake:

I need to finish the laundry from yesterday (last load is in the wash) and put everything away. Also, I just wrote up my thank you's to put in the mail this morning. I would like to get about 4-5 hours of work in today (from home) and get a good long run in (maybe 40-50 minutes). I also need to walk up to the bank and make a deposit. Other than that, today will be pretty mellow!

I hope everybody has a great Monday!

I'm sorry for all you guys (and your children) who are recovering from viruses and other infections. It really takes more out of you than people might think. And our society just has no empathy for sick people any more. In other countries, people go to bed with this stuff, and here, we are treated like we just have to suck it up and move on. :shrug2: It's so wrong.

It is sunny and cool here--45 degrees at noon-ish.

I need to fold those clothes in the dryer that I was too lazy to get out last night.

Cleaning out my pot-and-pan cupboard today. And the cupboard under the sink. What a mess! But I'd put it off way too long.

Happy Birthday Mocha!! May it be the start of a wonderful year!!

Pulling our lives together today after our totally soccer weekend!! It was a great tournament, but it does involve 13 hour days for those of us putting it on!! As always, we were gloriously fed - and stuffed actually!!

Must finish progress reports today.
Pay bills
Organize clothes and all for trip
Pool exercise
Wash dishes
Surface cleaning

That shjould keep me busy for the day!!
