Depending on coupons/sales in your area, these can be VERY inexpensive, or VERY pricey.

Basically you mix:

1 bag melted chips
1 can frosting

Spread into buttered/foiled 8 x 8 inch pan and chill.

There are numerous variations on this. . .

white chips with white frosting. . add crushed peppermint candies, and swirl red food coloring through..

Chocolate chips, chocolate icing, marshmallows, nuts for rocky road fudge

White chipe, white icing, crushed oreo cookies. . .

peanut butter chips, chocolate icing. . .nuts. . .

and the possibliities go on and on.

I learned one!!

1 cup peanut butter melted in microwave with 1 cup butter. Add 1 tsp of vanilla and beat in 1 pound of powdered sugar. pour into a 8x8 pan that has been buttered. cool, cut into 1x1 squares (i have little kids so i cut smaller. and i used chunky peanut butter. came out great!)

Your recipe was great--Michelle

Michelle,
I tried your recipe for fudge. It was terrific and economical too. I'm planning my "holiday baking budget" so I wanted to try your fudge recipe. Yummy!

Thanks!
