I need ideas please! DS is 15 months old and is starting his second month in daycare. They do not provide lunch and I know the poor child is sick of sandwiches. These are the ideas I have/have done so far

turkey/cheese sandwiches
yougurt
applesauce
fruit cups
strawberries
pudding
jello
string cheese
animal crackers
graham crackers
fruit snacks

really that's about it. The main problem is the main course. I mean what can you serve really? Oh yes, no peanut butter or peanut products allowed b/c of some children's allergies which really lessens the options. And, DS is a huge fruit fan, not so much on veggies but I am open to any ideas. Thanks!

What about:

hotdogs,
hotdogs and beans
hamburger
chicken nuggets,
soup,
tunafish w/crackers,
mac n cheese,
leftover dinners,
pizza
speggeti-o
pasta w/ olive oil

I am sure I have more, but then I am also not sure of your tots age.

Does your provider have a microwave?
My dh liked to have pepperoni in her lunch, as a side.

Leftovers would be my choice then, maybe not the next day, but make a small plate just for ds after any meal with leftovers, wait a couple of days and send it in for lunch. Break it up with a sandwich or soup or something like that.

What about experimenting with other nut butters?

Tofu? You could make tofu nuggets or something like that.

I love Vegan Lunch Box for ideas. If you go through some of the archives, you'll find the lunch ideas she did for her son. Of course, you don't have to keep it vegan, but it's a good read for ideas.
