I was a member once long long ago...it must have been over a decade now. I learned to be frugal and started urban homesteading based on the examples I saw here when I bought my home and my budget was tight. The work I did also meant I had enough food stored and money saved to make it through a year of unemployment and underemployment when the great recession started. I've recovered from that and doubled my emergency fund. But my career has taken off and the need to watch the budget has waned. I'd like to get back to my roots with inspiration from y'all to help me save for my dream hobby farm.

Welcome back.

It is always a balance working between being frugal and having a full time job. I do a lot of stuff, but I don't have time to do all the money saving things I would like to do. Well most of the frugal stuff I do is things I like, so that helps.
