Today we are playing it lazy. Don't have much to do but clean the office and send in pictures to Walgreens. Tonight we are having people over to celebrate New Years. Don't have much to do since it is potluck
I need to go the Goodwill this morning and look for a crockpot, I can't wait...I haven't gone in there since the first of october. My poor 13 year old crockpot, has a rusty foot on the bottom and it is now a large whole...it still works great but I think it's time to replace it. Hope I can find some other things and a couple sweatshirts. Hubby wanted to go with me yesterday and I want to go alone....more time to look around. I woke up and he is still sleeping...I'm leaving in about 30 min. Not much else I need to do today..other then laundry. No new years party or anything...I have to work tomorrow (wow, time and 1/2).
It's a dark, dreary, rainy day here. I'll probably do a little cleaning and that's about it. DH has had a nasty cold for the past few days and I woke up this morning with a sore throat and stuffy nose. We'll probably spend the afternoon and evening hanging out on the couch watching tv and/or reading.
We're having a simple stay at home evening for New Year Eve. (Just like everyone other New Years eve for the past 10 years). I did splurge and get a couple of steaks to cook along with load baked potatoes and salad. Thinking I might even make a appetizer like stuffed mushrooms.
Making a Huge Turkey with all the trimmings dinner here.
Tomorrow leftovers and a day to us.
Dson is going coon hunting with a friend and staying at their house tonight.
My fiance and I are having a quiet night together watching movies.
This morning I did some light cleaning around the house. DH and I (no kids on this camping trip) are now getting ready to go down to the camper. Meeting some friends down there to celebrate. We're having a steak dinner and ringing in the New Year around the campfire. Hope everyone has a Happy and Safe New Years!
we are gonna go see my grandmother today and have family dinner (every sunday for as long as i can remember) then come on home a 2-3 folks will come over and we are actually gonna put the little on to bed and play Guitar Hero ( a video game) for a little while DH has to work regular time in the morning so he'll need some sleep.
I am getting ready to go onto Target. They have a quilt that I want (on sale) and I don't want to pay the shipping charges. I have over $500 in GC for Target so I need to buiy something! Afterwards I am going to the store and picking up a tri-tip. Tonight we will have BBQ tri-tip ,roasted potatoes, french bread, mojitos and champagne. Just the two of us. I picked up some nice appetizers and a desert also.
Starting to take down the Christmas decorations and tree-I have the house to myself this afternoon, so I thought this would be a good time to do it.
Will have a quiet dinner tonight with DH when he gets home (working an overtime) and the kids all have plans tonight.
Hope everyone has a safe, happy, healthy New Year's Eve!
We will be going to church this evening, went this morning as well. I'm going to do some light cleaning, and tonight dh and I will probably play some board games, and watch the ball drop. Also, I'm gonna work on getting ready for the New Year.
So far we went to church. DH is fixing my cousin's computer, so we'll swing by my aunt's for a little while tonight and drop it off. At midnight we're hanging out with my folks - they have a small celebration each year with some of their re-enactor friends and fire off a Civil War era canon - black powder, smoke, big boom. No canonballs, though. :duck:
I'm having a wonderful day at home. I've been working lots and I'm staying home all day today. I'll go into work tomorrow for a few hours though. I've washed some fabric so that I can start cutting it for a quilt, done some regular laundry, cleaned the kitchen, took a nap! Having a great day! I bought some crab legs yesterday, on sale, will be having them for supper with some steamed broccoli.
