Was it something with your computer? For some reason here lately, I've had problems now and then getting in the village. I can get on any other site, but not here. I just don't understand what the deal is.
Yesterday, while trying to post, I got the "Web page could not be found" thingy again. Got it again this morning too, but tried again and here I am. It's so frustrating. :thud:
that happens to me as well... sometimes I can get on, sometimes I can't. I know its not my computer because I browse from home and work... and its happened at both places. But I'm glad when I do finally get on here... I almost am afraid to log off again... lol
Thing is though, it's happening to me even when I am logged in here. It happened to me yesterday as a matter of fact. I had been on the site for maybe an hour, just posting away and BAM, I got the "Web Page Cannot Be Displayed" thingy. I could get on every other site but this one. It's so weird.
Well I feel better now. Was getting "booted" out of the site and had no idea what was going on. Still don't know what is going on but it seems as if it is the site. Other sites are still available when this happens.
If someone knows what is going on let us know. I have dial-up. Is this it?
I urge you to run a tracert with your machines. This will pinpoint where the problem lies. It is very simple to do. Many people think the problem lies with Frugalvillage. This is not always the case. To help me fix the problem when you are having connection problem. Run a tracert and email it to me. gabrielnoel@gmail.com It will allow me to pinpoint where the problem is.
Many times when failure happen on the internet it takes several days for your ISP to reroute correctly packets to get to our website.
Here are results for me, I posted on how to do this on another thread.
Sorry to hear about this. Email me next time you are having problems.

Hopefully you will be able to stay connected. Made a few modifications to the server but it should not have impacted your access to the server. If things do not get better email me.
Here is a video showing how to do a tracert. (I found the video informative, this is not meant to offend you)
A couple of times in recent days I've gotten the "server too busy" message. I just try again in a few minutes and it's fine. I figured with all the fantastic changes going on, things are bound to be busy
Carolyn I had about 6 weeks of not being able to get on a year and 1/2 or so back. It was when my dns server updated and I had to actually call customer service at the server to get them to do something....they clicked a few buttons and voila' I was in
I was getting the "Page Not Found" message every time I tried, even though I could access all other sites. Hopefully, all is well now.
