My real trigger is I work overnight shift, and on nights I work, I am napping while the family eats dinner. So I get up and leave for work without having had dinner. Thus, the Golden Arches (I counted one night, my current drive to work takes me past 10 fast food places with drive throughs, my client is moving Saturday, and it's going to be more like 30+) I NEED THIS CHALLENGE!!!)
I am in for this one. It is soooo much easier to keep my car clean when I don't let my kids eat in the car. The hard part will be keeping them out of their leftover lunches when I drive them home from school.
I've done pretty well so far. I did eat in my car yesterday, but only used it as seating _ I was not driving, and there were no tables at the park where I pulled in to wait out a few minutes before an appointment. This is a VERY HARD challenge for me, but it has really made me stop and think about how much junk I eat just for entertainment while driving to work and back.
Well, one week in and I've only eaten in the moving car once (I worked DAY SHIFT - which I consider to be punishment!!) and had breakfast sandwich in the car. I had to leave really early, and wasn't exactly sure where I was going- no excuse, just my reason.
OK, I've completed 10 of 11 days without eating in the car. This is so hard. I went to the bank today and put my unopened sucker (yes, my bank gives grown-ups suckers!!) down on the seat and didn't open it up until I got home!! Tonight I'm working at my home-care baby's NEW home, never been there before, so it'll be interesting to see just what kind of temptation is lurking around the corners in Greenwood Indiana!!!
