Pineapple Pie

Recipe Description
This is one of the easiest most delicious pies I've ever made and its been a hit at family and church dinners.
Preparation Steps:
All you need is a large bowl to mix the ingredients in.
Level of Difficulty:
Easy
Time Needed:
5 minutes or less.
Ingredients:
1 can of crushed pineapple with the juice
1 small box of vanilla pudding mix
1 heaping tbsp of sour cream
1 tub of cool whip
1 graham cracker crust
Serves:
Directions:
Mix pineapples with juice, box of vanilla pudding, sourcream together in a large bowl. Add half a tub of coolwhip and mix thoroughly and dump into the graham cracker crust. Top with cool whip and chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

*Note
You can substitute strawberry pie filling or cherry pie filling for the pineapple and have another delicious pie. I've done all three and all were wonderful.

I didn't see a place to thank you , so I'm doing here now ;) It sounds delicious and easy. My pineapple pie recipe is a cooked one, sort of like apple pie. This will be so much better, as it won't heat up my kitchen.

Thanks again.

You can click on the balance symbol just under your awards case to give someone "reputation". (It's right in between the button that shows if someone is online and the "report" a post symbol)

HTH :)

What size can of pineapple? I think the only crushed pineapple I've seen comes in like a 20 oz can...but I'm not sure if that's just because my lame-o grocery store only sells one size LOL

I was wondering this as well. I get all confused when sizes aren't listed, lol. The cool whip, what size for that?
Thanks for the recipe heartofmine, it's one I'm going to try as soon as I know sizes. :smooch:

I found a similar recipe for those looking for the measurements:

Pineapple Pie

Ingredients:

* 8 ounces condensed milk
* 8 ounces Cool Whip
* 10 ounces crushed pineapple (drained)
* 1/4 cup walnuts (chopped)
* 1 prepared graham cracker pie crust (nine inch)

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients.

Mix together with a wooden spoon until thoroughly mixed.

Pour into pie shell.

Refrigerate overnight.

Garnish with more pineapple, if desired.

Serves six.

I'm going to try this this weekend for our Christmas dinner. :)

I apologize for not giving the can size. You'll need the 20 ounce can of crushed pineapple and you'll need the 16 ounce tub of cool whip. Put half the cool whip in the mix and then you can top the pie with more cool whip. It won't take the whole tub.
