Purchasing from a garage sale is practical and easy. You'll be able to find affordable with good quality items in a garage sale.

How about you? Do you purchase in a garage sale?

I love garagesales! Last summer we were able to get a three year old chest freezer for $25.00, a wooden windowseat/hopechest with cushion in perfect condition for $25.00, a crockpot for $1.00, and etc. I love being able to upgrade our stuff or supply a need for so little money!

I would say 75% of my clothes/shoes come from yard sale/Salvy and about 50% of my household items!

People come over and are like "you have the neatest stuff"! I love old primitive items mixed in with country. Every curtain in my home is from yard sales, never buy any that are new. There is either no selection (WalMart) or too expensive (Sears, Penneys). I love to change my curtains with the seasons. Mostly pay $1.00 per window, but will go as much as $3 per window if I really love them. Then after a couple of years, when I am tired of them I sell them at my yard sale or give them away.

This is what I was just thinking, I am going to have to start searching for garage sales soon. Spring cleaning is upon us and this is when the good stuff starts to come out.

I love garage sales. By shopping at garage sales instead of regular retail, we can have a much higher standard of living.

I'm looking forward to the occasional yard sale this Summer. :)

I absolutely purchase at a garage sale, if I find something I need or have been looking for..........but like thrift shops and especially rummage sales better...........more stuff at one stop.

Our garage sales around here are almost as greedy as our Value Village!! -------generally speaking------

I will stop, if I have time, while out and about.

I'm a big fan of yard sales, thrift sales. I didn't want to pay 7.99 for a new top the other day (I didn't ) because I knew I could buy 3 or 4 tops from thrift store and any where from 4 to 12 at yard sales. I sometimes wonder if I'm getting cheap. LOl :)TC

I LOVE garage sales! We live on base housing so there are always tons of kids clothes for sale. During the summer, I wake up early on Saturdays and walk around base housing and check out the garage sales I see.

My poor cousin (that's a relative term- she's not poor) lol ~ anyway, I had her visiting here from CA one year and I took her to boatloads of garage sales and she got tons of goodies.

One day (after returning home) - she called me and told me she hated me. "Now, how nice is that?" I had to ask....humph!

She went on to say that I had ruined her life, and now she was unable and unwilling to spend over .25 for anything. Her life was officially over as she knew it....(she lives in LA)!!!!!

Poor, poor baby..... I laughed!

I recently got a bottle of Torani syrup for coffee unopened and not expired for $1!!! Big deal for a coffee lover like me. The lady thought she wouldn't like the flavor :) BTW...it's yummy!

I purchase at yard sales and thrift stores all the time. We just moved into our newly built home a few weeks ago and it is decorated from yard sales, thrift stores, clearance sales, inherited family stuff.

Yep! I love garage sales. I am usually looking for items for my classroom....I think of other uses for items that people are trying to get rid of. I have also bought clothing, furniture, fishing items, tools, just about everything you can think of.

I love garage/yard sales and even though this sounds bad I love estate sales. I can always find something. 3 packs of napkins for a quarter (which I won't pay full price for) clothes for the kids, anything old and neat looking. Oh I love them!
