We live in MO and are required to have 1000 hours of instruction from July 1- June 30 of a calendar year. At least 600 of that 1000 must be in core subjects and at least 400 of those 600 must take place at home. This is a pretty simple and straightforward requirement BUT my dd has just decided that she wants to homeschool with ds and I.

My question is does the 1000 hours start from the time I officially pull her from school or can we count things we've done together for fun and enrichment as long as it is after July 1? What about the time she has been at school- do we count that as part of her instruction away from home and does time spent on homework count as instruction at home? Ds has already logged over 300 hours and it will be difficult to catch her up to finish the hours befor June 30 if we can't count anything before her official drop from school.
