Kathryn is having her first friend-only birthday party in a few weeks. For those of you who have thrown these parties, generally how long do you have them? Is 2-4 too little time? Would 2-5 be better?

Thanks! :)

Thanks slowtypinwoman. This party is for my older dd who will be turning 6. We are inviting 6 kids, and I have my SIL coming to help me and dh (and she is AWESOME with kids :) ), so I'm not too worried about having them here and wanting them to leave LOL

I find 2 hours works best. They always buzz through the games so fast it seems. I bet she is very excited! It's not long until you'll be braving the slumber parties.

I just had Delaney's a few weeks ago for her 6th birthday and it was from 2-4. It worked out perfect!! If I could have guaranteed a beautiful day I maybe would have had it an hour longer. We went outside to blow bubbles, skip, draw with chalk etc...and they were having so much fun!

Good luck with your party!:smball:

I can't wait for the sleepovers...though I must admit it's partly because I saw this sleepover cake that I'm dying to make for them. ;)

2-4 is usually the best I think for kids parties..... they can come and have fun and really 2 hours is usually enough..
Sleep-overs what a nightmare we did one last year and I don't know why they called it a sleep over no-one slept :~)
I used to have them and remeber then as fun but now as a parent nightmare...
