This is a 2000 Kraft recipe..found in my Mother's "stuff".

Quick Vanilla Rice Pudding

3c milk, divided
1c Minute Rice, uncooked
1/3c raisins
2 pkg (4 serving size) Jello Vanilla flavor instant pudding & pie filling

Boil 1c of the milk. Stir in rice and raisins, cover. Let stand 5 minutes.
Prepare pudding mix as directed on pkg with remaining 2cups of milk.
Add rice mixture to prepared pudding. Stir. Cover surface of pudding with plastic wrap. Cool 5 minutes. Stir. Serve warm or chilled. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon if desired. Makes 6 servings.

This is crazy. After typing this I realized I used only 1 pkg of instant vanilla pudding. And I used Aldi's Brown Instant rice & not white. Using the brown, it wasn't cooked enuff after letting it stand for 5 minutes. So I nuked it for about 5 minutes. Even with these changes.. it was very good! I even had a bowl for bkfst.
